Exuma – an experience out of this world

Are you ready for an experience that’s out of this world?

Exuma, an archipelago of 365 islands and cays, has always been known for its incredible beauty – even from space.

In fact, Scott Kelly, the American astronaut who broke the record for longest time in orbit, famously declared the Exuma chain of islands, with its swirling mosaic of blues, “the most beautiful place on Earth from space”.

Exuma made such an impression on Kelly that he visited Grand Isle Resort & Residences with his family shortly after his return to Earth.

“Not only is it beautiful from space, it’s beautiful up close. Those waters are incredible,” he said. “For an American, it’s so close. It’s a place I love to visit and hope others have the opportunity to as well.”

It makes sense that Kelly chose Grand Isle as his launching pad into the Exumas.

My name is Ray Newbold, and I’m a representative of GIV Bahamas Inc., the largest owner at Grand Isle. Located at Emerald Bay, on an mile-long horseshoe beach, this gated community offers all the amenities of a resort, with all the conveniences of home.

You can watch a video about Grand Isle here.

Ranging from one bedrooms to a four bedroom penthouse, our villas are perfect for feeling at home in paradise.

The resort includes a Fitness Center, two infinity pools, three restaurants, a spa, and complimentary water sports. Beyond our gates, the Exumas offer world-class excursions by land and by sea, allowing guests to experience sea turtles, sting rays, nurse sharks, celebrity islands, and the world-famous swimming pigs.

Meanwhile, our connection with outer space continues.

On February 17, SpaceX will land its Falcon-9 rocket in Exuma, the first of 20 landings coordinated with The Bahamas. You can learn more about Exuma’s exciting partnership with SpaceX here.

With direct flights from Nassau, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta and Toronto, it has never been easier to experience this paradise.

Whether it is for an individual stay, or a group, I would be happy to introduce you further to Grand Isle and Exuma. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we look forward to welcoming you soon.
